Technical Systems Designer

Michael Riotto Design (MRD) is currently seeking an experienced Technical Systems Designer, to immediately expand its team. Experience with Architectural and Entertainment lighting a must, must be willing to travel extensively and hold a valid passport.

General Responsibilities:

-          Generate project documentation such as CAD, Load Tables, and related schematic drawings.

-          Maintain project budgets and due dates.

-          Generate bill of materials for procurement.

-          Assist with design development and solutions, from a technical standpoint.

-          Serve as On Site representative and project leader.

-          Lead Sub Contractors to the successful installation and completion of scope.

-          Assist with overall company work flow.

Experience:

-          Minimum 4 years experience in lighting system design, construction management, or related lighting technology fields.

-          Completion of post graduate studies from an accredited university in related field of study.

-          Project management experiences a plus.

-          Knowledge of CAD drafting software, Microsoft Office, other design and lighting related software.

-          Working knowledge of Architectural and Entertainment lighting equipment, dimming systems, LED equipment, and controls.

-          Working knowledge of installation techniques and practices as it pertains to permanent and temporary lighting installations.

-          Experience with fabrication and outsourcing a plus.

-          Strong sense of professionalism, ability to adapt to dynamic project environments, strong communication and organizational skills.
